Senior Regulatory Scientist
Altria Client Services

Nadja Richter, Ph.D., serves as a Senior Scientist in the Population Sciences function within Regulatory Sciences for Altria Client Services. In this role, she manages and conducts behavioral research and analyses to inform the company’s underage use prevention and adult cessation support initiatives. Dr. Richter leads the Underage Tobacco Use Survey (UTUS), a repeated cross-sectional study that collects data on underage tobacco use every three months. Her work encompasses diverse primary and secondary research efforts, including designing, implementing, and interpreting findings from foundational studies, as well as monitoring and analyzing complex data from large-scale public health surveys such as the CDC's National Youth Tobacco Survey and the National Health Interview Survey. Additionally, she supports regulatory product application submissions and post-market surveillance for Altria’s operating companies by assessing the potential impact of products on youth and non-tobacco-using adults.
